DNAnexus and Oracle collaborate to advance precision health

DNAnexus, Inc., the provider of the Precision Health Data Cloud, today announced that it will collaborate with Oracle to advance precision health.

This visionary endeavor is intended to drive scientific breakthroughs and improve patient outcomes globally by accelerating innovation in genomics and healthcare. This collaboration will:

  • Focus on connecting Oracle’s and DNAnexus’ respective ecosystems. This includes making the DNAnexus platform seamlessly available to global Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle Health, and Oracle Database customers. In addition, customers will be able to use OCI integration services for their healthcare applications.
  • Leverage Oracle’s expertise in accelerating AI pipelines and its industry partnerships to bring global customers even faster genomic analysis and better AI models. DNAnexus is already using OCI AI infrastructure to run genomic reports.

“Oracle’s focus on the simultaneous rapid global deployment of its cloud and electronic health records aligns very well with our industry-leading platform, which allows scientific innovators and healthcare professionals to manage, analyze, and collaborate on multi-omic, clinical, and real-world data,” said Thomas Laur, CEO at DNAnexus. “This connected ecosystem will enable users to reimagine the future of health, accelerate scientific discovery, and improve patient care.”

“Through our collaboration with DNAnexus, we believe we can help improve patient outcomes by connecting and delivering leading platforms for our customers,” said Dan Spellman, Global AI Cloud Director, Oracle. “Oracle’s vast ecosystem of partners and global footprint of 69 cloud regions is helping organizations accelerate innovations in healthcare and life sciences. Paired with DNAnexus’ expertise in genomic data management and analysis, we’re ultimately unlocking new insights and driving advancements in personalized medicine and healthcare.”
