Former GV Women’s Impact List honoree will lead the design and delivery of the company’s growing precision medicine portfolio
DNAnexus, Inc., the leading cloud-based SaaS company serving the global Healthcare and Life Sciences community, today announced the promotion of Fan Fan, Ph.D., to Chief Product Officer. Dr. Fan will be responsible for driving the continued innovation and strategy for the company’s market-leading cloud platform for scientific analysis and collaboration.
“Fan has been an instrumental member of the DNAnexus team and has overseen the successful launch of our Apollo™ Platform, the first-of-its-kind platform that brings together clinical, genomic and other omics data to support clinical and precision drug research, and many other important product enhancements,” said Richard Daly, Chief Executive Officer at DNAnexus. “She brings a deep understanding of how to bring innovative products to market that are designed to not only meet the needs of our customers today but also solve many of the important challenges of tomorrow.”
As Chief Product Officer, Dr. Fan is now responsible for driving the vision and strategy for DNAnexus’ growing product portfolio. She was promoted from her previous role as Vice President of Product Management, where she successfully managed the roadmap, design, and delivery of the company’s products. She was recognized for her many product management achievements on the GV Impact List 2020, which highlighted 25 exceptional women that are making a difference in the workplace. Prior to DNAnexus, Dr. Fan served as Principal of Product Management responsible for cloud-based document productivity services at Adobe and led product management at Model N, where she directly engaged with some of the world’s largest pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, including Merck and Amgen. Dr. Fan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of Science and Technology of China and a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of Southern California.
